to feel ashamed of my social housing home

It's not an estate, just one row of new build houses on a road of naice homes.

A diet Lady is coming to see me who lives in a hufe mansion, I have heard about it.

My house is a hovel in comparison.

I feel inadequate like a twat.

Put me out of my misery :(

Don't allow some jumped up snobby woman to make you feel crap. If she dares to make you feel at all uncomfortable when she visits then report her to the company she works for.

Please take a moment to realise how lucky you are to have a home. Do you feel safe there? Are you comfortable? These are the things that matter, not how your house compares with some huge manor house.

ilovetermtime · 10/11/2012 20:44

What a bragger? What a twat more like!

Bogeyface · 10/11/2012 20:46

Are you paying for her services or is she coming as a favour because she is a qualified dietician?

Either way, you could get the same help, and without the judgmental crap, via your GP from an NHS dietician.

I wouldnt have someone like that in my house whether it was a council flat or Downton Abbey! As my mum says, not having money doesnt make you common, but looking down on others for not having money does.

PickledFanjoCat · 10/11/2012 20:48

Pinkie29 · 10/11/2012 20:53

Yes! There's nothing wrong with social housing, my home town is mostly ex council houses so pretty much everyone grew up on a council estate and my rents still own one. The council has also just had a stock of new builds that sell for about £130k

We had a snooty neighbour who bought hers not long after the right to buy came in and even at 7yrs old I knew she looked down on us, can't stand that attitude!

To the diet lady listen to me
I'm gonna let ya in my yard
To show me how healthy I can be
But you just don't no that I am well hard
So don't you judge the council house
Don't say a word
I might seem as quiet as a mouse
But offend me or my home
I'll say things you have never heard,

I'll say go take ya face for a shit
Did you mean to be so rude
Your coming across as a Fuck wit
So don't judge me and they will be no feud

catgirl1976 · 10/11/2012 21:11

Don't be silly

And...........not that it matters, but I doubt she paid for the big house by running WW or whatever she does. She probably just married someone who can afford a big house, which is no achievement or anything to be proud of in itself

I am sure you home is fine - who gives a monkeys if it is a social housing house.

SoleSource · 10/11/2012 21:19
