This is why MN needs a [proud mummy] emoticon.

Lovely to hear your DS is doing so well in his work - you must be chuffed Grin.

Arseface · 10/11/2012 00:49

I like his new teacher too Grin.
How cool for DS to finally get some recognition for his talents. Thrilled for you.

WorraLiberty · 10/11/2012 00:56

You can't 'put a child in' for any level with SATS

But what she probably means is, she expects him to gain a level 6.

Google it and all will be explained...including how to help him at home should you wish to.

mamamibbo · 10/11/2012 00:58

the level 6 is an extra sat, not all children will sit it

My 10 yr old son's teacher told me he (not just him) will be doing a level 6 maths paper in his sats next year.

He's currently a 5a so I guess she thinks he'll be ready for it.

wtf1981 · 10/11/2012 08:54

Worra, you have to submit names of any children who'll be sitting the separate Level 6 papers quite a while in advance. It's in addition to the normal 3-5 papers which most year six children will take, unless they're working below level 3.

RudolphUcker · 10/11/2012 08:57

If it is a stealth boast fair enough - carry on Grin
But if you genuinely want to know, why on earth don't you post in the Education topics?

MrsCantSayAnything · 10/11/2012 08:58

Well done OP's DS! Grin

CabbageLooking · 10/11/2012 09:02

Hurray! No need to be stealthy - that's fab!

pictish · 10/11/2012 09:05

Wonderful! I like proud parent posts, even though they're unpopular....to me, there is nothing wrong in wishing to shout out about your child's successes.
Good for him! Grin
