To find this odd and, actually, a bit annoying

Up until recently, I have done 100% childcare.

A few things have happened which have meant I've asked my DH to do bedtime when he gets home. Around 50:50.

Tonight, the kids are messing around it is (in the new rules) his turn. He is not happy. He turns the tv off as he walks out. So, if he cant watch tv no one can?

That's odd, isn't it ? I won't switch it on again.... I just find it odd, and not something I would ever dream of doing to him (and I was sitting in the room when he walked out and switched the tv off)

He is a stroppy twat.
But you are being slightly daft by sitting there and not switching it back on.
Switch it on. Why sit there without it?

EverybodysSpookyEyed · 07/11/2012 20:03

switch it back on and make sure he can hear it is on!

garlicbaguette · 07/11/2012 20:06

Goodness, I hope you've switched it back on and are now having political (Hmm) fantasies about the US president Grin

Otherwise, you're both being passive-aggressive. One's enough. Really.

fluffypillow · 07/11/2012 20:12

What a baby he is.

You have done 100% childcare? Why?

How old are the kids?

StuntGirl · 07/11/2012 20:15

Is your screen name ironic?

MushroomSoup · 07/11/2012 20:30

Chip flick

aletea · 07/11/2012 21:15

YABU if you don't turn it back on.

Shutupanddrive · 07/11/2012 21:19

Why not turn it back on if you were watching it? Confused

abbierhodes · 07/11/2012 22:23

I think it was bloody rude and disrespectful actually. He doesn't get to choose if you watch telly.

Put it back on, turn it to nickelodeon and take one battery out of the remote. Hide battery. Go for a nice looong bath.

pictish · 07/11/2012 22:27

Fuck that aye! What a petulant prick.

He's punishing you because he is expected to take his rightful turn at putting the kids to bed.

What a lazy, self centred fuckhole! I'd be raging. Quietly mind - but I'd be raging!

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 07/11/2012 22:30

Just hide the remote and when he asks say sweetly "I have no idea Darling, you had it last" Wink
