to ask where the best place is to sell a load of Lego

I have two black bags full of the stuff - all bought in the past couple of years cost a bloody fortune Its too good to sell at a car boot sale. Where's the best place to sell it? Ebay any good would you think?

Probably dividing it into decent sized lots and placing it all on eBay would be the best thing to do.

Lego is great. Aren't you tempted to play with it yourself??

I've kept things like that for grandchildren. I know it seems a long way away now but it will come round a lot faster than you think (my oldest is now 19). If you must sell then I'd divide it up into decent size lots and advertise it in local papers/ supermarkets notice boards. e often have adverts like this on ours and tgey always sell really quickly especially in the run up to Christmas. If you can include full sets/ instructions you will get more for it.

They sell it on ebay and amazon by weight. If your around bristol pm me and I'll buy a bag off ya

Bricklink is a specialist lego selling website. DH is a lego geek and he sells and buys some on ebay, either by sets (complete and with instructions) or by weight.

You would be surprised at what people would pay at a car boot sale for that much lego though.

I have brought it on eBay - in packs such as 10 road plates, 20 assorted windows, and by the 500g or 1Kg.
Look at other listings of Lego to see what helps it sell and what sort of prices auctions start at and often finish at.

put it in the loft for the grandchildren. my childen are playing iwth my duplo that is 40 years old. they will be moving onto lego out of granny's loft and grandma's loft in a couple of years. going to save us a fotune.

I agree that if you have the space put it in the loft. Children come back to it as teenagers, grand children will like it (quite a lot of my Lego from childhood my nephew now play with).

If you are going to sell it do you research. People will buy sets and sell the bricks individually too which can make more than selling complete sets. Go through what you have and look for any specialist bricks. Or try to get all the sets together and find the instructions. Minifigs can also sell well individually dependant on what the figure is. I would keep it all myself, store it in the loft in plastic boxes. A friend has just been given a box of old Lego and he has found many gems in it, some full sets from the 70s which will be worth a lot to a collevtor

EBay would be a good start, have a look what other bits are selling for. I think also on brickset you can list for sale

You can make a fair bit of money selling Lego so it's worth the time to do it right (or stick it in the attic, it keeps its value and play-value!).

We normally sell bits on eBay, either make full sets and sell them, or you can sell bulk lots of certain types of bricks.
