to stop doing his ironing?

I was a SAHM with 3 school aged children. Now I have a newborn aswell. She is 6 weeks old and it was a cscection so for the 1st couple of weeks housework/ironing etc was not a priority.
Now I am up and running but washing and ironing is really getting to me. DH didn't even iron 1 thing in those early days. (did precious little else either)
AIBU to say that he can do his own washing/ironing in future?
Plus to tell him that he needs to do more in house at weekends.
For example today I did all the childcare for newborn dd etc plus washing ironing, loading dishwasher etc and feeding everyone.
He managed to play computer games with older dc, (that's fine) watch grand prix and other stuff and play on computer on his own.

Dear goodness - I never even started ironing for my DH.

YABU to iron anything - there is no need.

YANBU. I don't do any laundry at all for my DH. Although it must have been pretty obvious how lazy your DH was after your first child, so I'm wondering why you went on to have three others with him?

tbf it was a gradual process. When dc were little he did help more. Laziness seemed to kick in when dd 3 started reception. By than I was already pregnant.
Incidently how do you not iron. Do you have tumble driers.

Yes, tell him he needs to pull his finger out of his butt too.

I do have a tumble drier but even when I didn't I didn't bother. I don't find things end up very wrinkled really. There are one or two things that I do need to iron but I just do them as I need them.

Have you tried talking to your DH about this?

I used to mainly iron as I went along but now I hardly iron. DH does his shirts for work. I have a washer/drier and a seperate tumble dryer but its in the garage and a pita to get to. The w/d is a bit hit and miss for creasing but generally we still wear it if its creased, body heat helps and tbh I'm generally past caring. Life is too short for ironing.

I think you do too much for him and the family and that is why he has gradually got lazier?
