I love Amazon but my retail joy is marred by courier rage.

Soupqueen you could be me. The only way i could actually speak to someone at the couriers was to enter ten 9's as my card delivery number seeing as how there was no card and the online tracking said i had refused to accept the package! My royal mail collection depot is 5 mins walk from home. Hate the courier non-service i get!

I hate Yodel. When they were still HDN they stole my ipod - when I spoke to the woman in their depot about non delivery she freely admitted this, said if it was from Amazon and obviously electronics 'it'll have been taken' - no apology, no shame, just 'what do you expect?' attitude. Fair play to Amazon, I did that ring back thing with their customer services, spoke to a real live person and within 24 hours they sent a new one out - but they were going to use HDN again until I pointed out to them that that was how the first one went missing, so possibly use someone else? So I got it next day via the Royal Mail. Like many other posters, at least if I'm out when they deliver, I can go to my local depot or post office and get my stuff. Yodel is a nightmare of unintelligible delivery cards/no tracking references/downright lies on their online tracking service/unanswered phones/depot in the middle of nowhere/want your passport/driving licence/inside leg measurement before they'll fork it over, I could go on...

I just noticed this evening that there is a collect plus option within a mile of me...anyone used this?
