This will affect me and my family in April, as I have had someone visit me with regards to these changes.

I have been told that my 14 yr old dd and 8 yr old dd will be required to share, despite my 8 yr old being disabled, and having numerous amounts of equipment which needs storing and me not being able to get a job despite trying.

I have been told that I can either take in a lodger (not allowed to as it breaches tenancy agreement but wouldn't want to anyway)

Move into a smaller property, as they say my home is underoccupied by 2 bedrooms, as they count reception rooms as a bedroom too.

Pay the difference which is about 25% of the rent cost.

If I move, then all the money which has been spent of a disabled facilities grant to make my home suitable for her needs will have been wasted, plus I would require another to make the smaller house suitable.

For disabled people and their families, it really hasn't been thought out very well.

I don't qualify for housing benefit, however I have recently downsized because I couldn't afford to live in a house with a guest bedroom any more. I may also have to move to a less desirable area, despite dp and I both working.

My parents are in the process of selling their 4 bed bungalow, which has been in the family for 80 years and is very much the family home, and downsizing to a 2 bed now that all their children have left home.

Surely thats just the natural progression of things isn't it?
