To think this is weird behaviour?

A couple of weeks ago I walked into the kitchen to find DH lying on the floor. I asked what he was doing and he said he had fallen over and got back up again.

Last night we went out for dinner with a couple of friends (one of which he works with) and his mate burst out laughing telling us a story of DH being found laying on a fridge and saying he had fallen over when asked what he was doing up there.

I have mentioned it to him since and he gets all defensive! but it is weird isn't it??

He needs to go to the doctor.

scentednappyhag · 01/11/2012 16:24

Has he started drinking a lot? We use to find my dad laying in some strange places when I was younger.

How would fall over and land on the top of a fridge.Confused

He does need to see a dr.

PropertyNightmare · 01/11/2012 16:34

It does sound like epilepsy. It would fit that he has no idea idea how he ended up on top of the fridge. Poor guy is in denial that has a neurological condition by the sounds of things. Get him to the doctor as fingers crossed he can be controlled by medictaion. Don't ignore it as he is liable to have an accident mid/post seizure by the sounds of things.

bonkersLFDT20 · 01/11/2012 16:35

Was it an under counter fridge? He'd have to be really, really thin to fit under there, nevermind the question of falling over and landing there.

PropertyNightmare · 01/11/2012 16:39

He didn't fall on top of the fridge by the way. He would have most likely got there during seizure activity probably a partial, absence or complex seizure where he was unaware of his movements/moving in an automated fashion. A lot of people are also very confused immediately post seizure so he could have also got there after an episode.

Planking!

Could have been practicing planking on the fridge so he didn't wobble too much when doing it in public?

Softlysoftly · 01/11/2012 16:48

I'm guessing he works maybe in a warehouse and the fridges were laid down? I can see no other way to lay on a fridge!

rogersmellyonthetelly · 01/11/2012 18:26

Whether he's planking or ill I reckon he needs to see a dr. For his mental health for the former (why? Really just why would a normal intelligent person do that?) and in case it's serious for the latter.
