And that she shouldn't have been spared a jail sentence?

DM sorry

Care isn't something that I would want any child to have to be out through and she may be a caring and wonderful mother to them unlikely if she is heavily drinking, smoking and kicking people while pg but kids should not be a get out of jail free card for anyone surely?

mollymole I don't think your comment was that ridiculous actually. 'Put down' may be a bit extreme in this case but these people should be punished very very severely and IMO the DC would be better off without them.
As for comments like 'The Nazis believed in 'putting people down' - it's really not something that anyone in a civilised society should think or say no matter what the provocation.' really depends what the provocation is and if you would feel the same if it involved one of your children.

I'm assuming nobody intervened because nobody knew how many people were in their feral group, and nobody wanted to get assaulted either.

DP and I saved a girl from being assaulted by her boyfriend in the street in Manchester in broad daylight. Nobody else even stopped, but they made sure they had a good stare as they kept walking past her getting slapped. Sad Piccadilly Gardens really is a horrible place. I also found a guy unconscious at a bus stop there during the day, had to call an ambulance, everyone else just ignored him too.
