How much do they cost each? Are they a waste of money?

OP posts:
Fishqueen · 28/10/2012 22:03

I was addicted, but despite going for the healthy ones they def made me put on weight and they are pricey! Might be something to do with the fact that I couldnt have them on my desk and not eat all 4 in the same day. I think you have to have will power to make them last all week. I would maybe just get them once in a while.

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/10/2012 22:03

The orange and ginger flapjacks are lovely though. If I could have had a box full of them every week I'd have thought it was great value for money :)

EnglishGirlApproximately · 28/10/2012 22:06

I got them cheap on a groupon voucher and thought some of it was ok, some pretty poor. It was worth what I paid (£5 for 4 boxes) but definitely not worth full price. Thought the bread and flapjacks were dry, liked some of the seed and fruit mixes and loved the mini oatcakes with chutney.

Because I didn't sign up they've sent me another voucher for the same deal. Wonder if I can get them to keep doing that? :)

TramadolJacket · 28/10/2012 22:11

Ooh, I love them, especially the honey coated cashews. They are expensive though, I have recently had to cancel my subscription as I just can't justify the expense. DD keeps asking me why the postman doesn't bring us nuts and raisons any more!

ripsishere · 29/10/2012 05:35

I had a free offer for them. I think I got four different deliveries. IMO, they are OK but pricey.
OTOH, I would kill for something savory right now

ErikNorseman · 29/10/2012 05:51

They can be up to 1000 calories per box. That's a lot for snacks, even for a meal that's a lot.

starsandunicorns · 29/10/2012 06:06

Not tried them and always wondered what were in them if they are the ones that are in a brown box i have sorted hundrens of them on night shift

bigsnugglebunny · 29/10/2012 09:32

We get one every Saturday, and share it between all of us - I've binned all the gluten containing selections - so we don't get rubbery flapjack or dry bread! Smile it's a nice little pick-me-up for our Saturday afternoon film fest

trockodile · 29/10/2012 09:42

My mum spent a month in hospital and as I live abroad and couldn't visit I sent her them 3 times a week. She loved them-she said!-because they had different things, were healthy ish and were easy to eat and store.

bedmonster · 29/10/2012 10:44

I don't think I'd like them as I don't eat any dried fruit so raisins, sour cherry things, dried apricot/cranberries etc would be out for me. Also don't eat nuts.
But if people are trying to watch what they eat, have a banana! Medium ones contain just about the right amount of calories for a snack and are pretty filling. And full of energy. But most important of all, very cheap!

OhTheConfusion · 29/10/2012 12:43

I ordered my free box last week, it's due to arrive on Friday. I thought random surprise treats would be fun for the family over the weekend but think I will cancel my subscription after my freebie!

ChessieFL · 29/10/2012 12:54

They are expensive for what they are, and yes you can make up similar things yourself much more cheaply. But I like all the flavoured raisins (and I haven't seen those available to buy so couldn't do those myself) plus as others have said the surprise factor is nice. I view them as a treat rather than a healthy addition to my diet.
Bedmonster - if you don't eat dried fruit or nuts then no, don't bother! There would be very little you could eat.
I have now cancelled about 3 times but every now and then I get a half-price offer so go back to them, then cancel again when it goes back to full price!!

lynniep · 29/10/2012 13:00

I love graze boxes and have had them on offer quite a few times. The actual full price is outrageous so would never have them for that. I can eat it all within 20 minutes as well, so no good for my diet...

OhTheConfusion · 29/10/2012 13:03

ChessieFL, 'NAKD' infused raisins are sold in my local supermarket and can be bought in bulk online. They come in treat sized bags and are quite nice Grin

maybenow · 29/10/2012 13:03

they are an expensive indulgence but i like them (though i have carefully 'binned' and 'liked' all the options to only get stuff i like).

they cost about as much as an expensive starbucks (which i don't have) so one a week is my treat.

i like the variety, if i bought my own nuts and raisins and stuff they'd come in bigger bags and i wouldn't get nice little portions which are each different.

bedmonster · 29/10/2012 13:05

chessie I have seen and bought for my dds flavoured raisins in sainsburys, down the lunchbox sort of aisle, where they sell fruit flakes, bars and stuff.

BeyondLimitsOfTheLivingDead · 29/10/2012 15:26

The NAKD infused raisins are in with the fruit and veg in Asda :)

I love graze boxes. Cant afford them at the mo though.

ZombTEE · 29/10/2012 15:29

I love them but think their regular price is too expensive.

They keep giving me half price boxes for taking surveys so I cancel until I get one of those again. [hgrin]

starfishmummy · 29/10/2012 19:39

My first - a freebie - was rather nice; i had a few more at half price and they kept sending stuff that i had said I didn't like.

Littlecherublegs · 16/03/2013 10:56

You can try a free box at:

www.graze.com/uk/p/1F95RNP

Worth a try - if you dont rate it, you dont have to have it again but hopefully would have enjoyed the freebies??!! Smile

catgirl1976 · 16/03/2013 11:10

They are nice and you can customise what you will be sent

However, IME you start of all keen and munching them, then less keen and they end up piling up

I don't think they are very healthy tbh (my selections certainly weren't Grin )

CocktailQueen · 16/03/2013 11:29

I love em too - and the kids love them. They think it's a real trea to open them up and find out what we have! We have Rome about every three weeks. Yum!

theoriginalandbestrookie · 16/03/2013 11:33

Someone at work gets them and I think each box has over 1000 calories from his choices, therefore I'm not entirely sure what the purpose of them is as they are far too calorific to be a healthy snack option.Plus his options seemed to be sugar coated so not a great choice at all.

Far better, imo to bring an apple in and a mini pack of cashew nuts.

Trills · 16/03/2013 11:35

Whether they are "worth it" depends on how much you value the joy of getting a surprise in the post.

YABU by the way, because you have not asked a question of reasonableness.

wimblehorse · 16/03/2013 11:52

I did the free thing too. Never lasted more than a day & def not worth paying full price for...
