It is a shame for her, thank goodness she has other children to look after her .... Oh wait a minute she's seen them off too

The only person who deserves any sympathy is DH actually he tried to do the right thing and it has been a disaster as many said it would be.

So, she's leaving 2 months early? Sounds like the plane crash thing is her attempt to be polite, rather than saying she can't stand to stay with you for another couple of months.

tryingtoleave · 27/10/2012 06:56

You didn't just ask her to come - you bullied her into coming.

CuriousMama · 27/10/2012 07:00

It all sounds awful. I don't know the back story though? Shame for dcs and your dh by the sounds of it?

QuietNinjaTardis · 27/10/2012 07:49

What's the back story? Can anyone link?

Mosman · 27/10/2012 07:51

We did not bulky her at all we explained her options and she made a decision and changed her mind repeatedly.
And yes I felt sorry for the DC's when she threw the remote control at them - in temper, not on purpose - not that that makes a difference.
The plane crash rubbish is yet another example of her irrational behaviour.

There were several threads leading up to her coming over QNT.

Anyway she has agreed to be civil for the next 6 days so I'm sure we can both manage that.

Sympathies, she sounds like a massive pain in the arse

LtEveDallas · 27/10/2012 07:55

Is this the MIL that sat with her fingers in her ears when baby DC was crying?

I think it's probably a good thing she is going home, and yes, that sentence at the start of a conversation would wind me up too.

Best of luck Smile

Mosman · 27/10/2012 07:57

Yes that's the one, fingers in the ears. Shouting at the children etc
It's not all been all bad actually but there have been moments.
