I am watching My tattoo addiction on chanel 4, the tattoist has said it is a nightmare tattooing a drunk person.

so my debate is Should tattoo serve drunk people or not.

My artist won't even entertain you trying to make an appointment when drunk!! Let alone the actual sitting.

I love my artist. I pay a fortune for his work. It's worth it.

Where I go for tattoos and piercings asks if you've had alcohol or drugs within last 24hrs. Think it part of many things they have to do as they are registered with local council. I personally think that all tattoo/piercing studios should have to register wits LA and abide by their health and safety regulations

No they shouldn't. And no reputable place will. The place I had mine done won't tattoo walk-ins, even stone cold sober ones. You have to book an appointment at least a fortnight away and pay a non-refundable deposit.

I had no idea that Tattoo Parlours were so stringent with regards drug/alcohol intoxication.

I had rather imagined that half their clientele were a touch Brahms, and without them they would struggle to make ends meet.

I would never go into one sober, but I can remember several occacions in my past that getting a tat would have seemed a perfect idea

I'm glad to now find out that I am wrong about the whole issue.
