Letsfacethemusic ... You really murdered Woody? You admit this on a national forum? You do realise somebody could be monitoring this forum? You can probably expect a knock on your door at any time...

(Our Woody has a large unsightly crack across his cheek, from being thrown across the room by a three year old - but at least he's alive Sad )

Ds is 17 and Dd is 15. Buzz woody and Jessie are not going anywhere.

BestIsWest · 19/10/2012 20:55

DS was horrified this week to find that DD had put his Buzz and Woody Duvet cover on her bed and insisted I take it off. He is 14. She is 19.

Buzz and Woody are safe in the attic in the toy basket.

DuffyMoon · 19/10/2012 21:04

The kids wanted to get rid of their Jessie dolls but I wouldn't let them Blush

Norem · 19/10/2012 21:51

Our buzz can never go! He was ds4 s special toy going for an op in hospital.
Picture the scene, lift full of uptight parents and hungry nervous kids.... Voice from deep inside our rucksack ...... "I've never doubted myself for a minute and I'm not about to start now"
I could have kissed him sob sob :)

Soapysuds64 · 19/10/2012 22:09

DDs buzz dropped from her pushchair on to the rails when getting off the train. Had to call network rail, who came out, dark and rainy, to rescue him. As the hook lifted him up, buzz said 'to infinity.....and beyond!' Still got him 7 years on, he was dd's gift from the dummy fairy.

Apostropheuse - i was under the influence of extreme terror. Seriously, if I'd been able to get to a phone, the police would have been called.

And the guilt...oh the guilt. Double guilt as it involves lying to children and hiding the body.

I believe I have sufffered enough.

apostropheuse · 19/10/2012 23:12

Ok then I will accept that there were extenuating circumstances, and you do sound really remorseful - perhaps you're even a reformed character, so if you do get a knock at the door I will lead a campaign on your behalf. Free the Guilty but Really Sorry One

LetsFaceTheMusicAndDance · 19/10/2012 23:17

I'm countinng on you.

Can't even raise a smile when the pics of elder 2 in their Woody and Buzz pjs come round on the digital photo frame.

Have you ever seen a dog looking guilty and embarrassed.....yes, that's the one.

Put them in the attic. Problem solved.

I have done this with various toys that I loved over the years, when my kids are older, the best outcome will be an "awww mum you kept this" but the reality will probably be me finding them and thinking "Aw I remember when..."

My mum chucked out all my Sindy dolls when I was 14. I was WAY past playing with them, but they were part of my life... how lovely it would have been to find these shaven headed, tatoo'ed dolls now and thought 'yeh'. My mum hated them.

OscarPistoriusGirlfriend · 19/10/2012 23:27

Buzz knows his time will come. We got ds1 a buzz for his third birthday. He never played with him. Poor buzz. Sad

Then along came ds2, he LOVES buzz and keeps him in his bed. He also has a buzz light year bag, which was also ds1's, that he adores! Ds1 is 7 and ds2 is 22mo. Grin

OnTheBottomWithAWomansWeekly · 19/10/2012 23:30

DD will be 16 next month and Stitch (Lilo & Stitch) still is left tucked up carefully in her bed each morning. (She would kill me if she knew I'd told you).

Also is not "When She Loved Me" the saddest song ever?

jojane · 19/10/2012 23:30

Do you know any young children you could pass them on to to be lovingly played with?

I had similar issues with IgglePiggle.

I did give him to my local charity shop and they put him in the window display, he was gone within a week. It's heartbreaking when your children grow out of their toys, but you can't keep everything and it's wonderful to imagine that another child will cuddle, carry around and love those toys.

MrsVincentPrice · 19/10/2012 23:43

When She Loved Me is absolutely disastrous - FunRadio used to play it with no warning whatsoever and reduce me to a gibbering wreck when I was trying to cook.

BestIsWest · 20/10/2012 00:41

You have to keep them. Teenagers get unbelievably sentimental about their childhood and they won't forgive you for parting with anything let alone Buzz and Woody.

dysfunctionalme · 20/10/2012 01:51

Omg no please just post them to my ds for safekeeping
