to fulfil dd's desire for dungarees? really?

Because manufacturers certainly think so. Dd (9) wants some denim or cord or canvas dungarees as ds has some and she's envious, but I CAN'T FIND ANY!

Does no one make young girls' dungarees now? Dd hates playsuits/jumpsuits, oddly, but is desperate for a nice pair of dungareerees... The only ones we can find are the type for skiiing, padded waterproof jobs.

Yup, I've had exactly the same problem. I loved DD in dungarees - she looked great and they were super-practical when she was little. But as soon as she got to 4 or 5 puff no more dungarees. She's 7 now and I've still never managed to find any (except for teeny tiny shorty short ones).

It's like someone passed a 'girls shall not wear dungarees' law.

why can't she wear 9yr old boy dungarees? there won't be much difference in shape and if they're denim and don't have tractors or anything on them who would know?

very few 9 year old so either gender wear dungarees nowadays. Your search may take some time.

If you live near a farm supplies shop try there, workwear might include child sizes, certainly I can get overalls for kids at the farm store.

I had problems with this and DD is not 2 yet. Seems boys are allowed a little later but girls aren't. I just put her in boys' ones then I found a Swedish brand in John Lewis that did bigger, unisex ones.

I got some for DD in H&M late Spring. I'm pretty sure they had larger as I had to get a 5-6, was dithering between those and bigger, maybe try there?

Dungarees are the must have item, my DD has always had them she more or less lives in them,

But suddenly all the girls have them, DD was a little bit put out as they have always been her thing,

DD has lots of short ones, worn over stripy leggings or tights, they seem to very popular,

I think that DD said someone on a children program started wearing them, might of been a Tracy Beaker(something like that) thing.

I've always thought them quite practical and hard wearing, I think a friend said H&M had some.

Oh DD is nine so that age group are into them.

Can't find any in John Lewis or H&M, or Petit Bateau stockists (except for toddlers). Sadly ds is 5, and at the limit of his, so I can't just put her in them (though she's tried... )

Osh Kosh make the best ones, all my kids had them, One pair had been handed around by my friend and my son was kid number 6 to wear them and they looked great. The make girl dungeree coverall skirts too with the bib and braces top end and skirt at the bottom, they look adorable and sizes go up to something like 12 year old.
Check eBay some US sellers will ship international.

Another vote for Osh Kosh. We stock up in every size whenever we're in the US so that DD will have at least one pair a year. (Until about the age of 10. We went barmy.)

I remember Osh Kosh stuff. Dd has some wonderful red ticking trousers from them once (3rd hand, and still as good as new). Sigh. You know, I've never been outside Europe. Maybe I should rectify that.....

Another Osh Kosh fan, brilliantly indestuctable and survived three kids worth of wear when they were younger.
My DD (11) now has some from next which she loves.

How about clothkitsbdungarees? here lovely printed ones for girls, but only up to four. If I had a dd they would be in these!
