Dyeing poo stained stuff and selling it?

I have loads of baby items which have poo stains on which I just can't seem to remove... towels, vests, sleep suits etc.
Would I be unreasonable to dye them with Dylon and sell or pass them on? I'd be upfront about it but not sure if people would be grossed out...?

Cloth recycling!

Ewwww. I sell some stuff on Ebay, and would never, ever sell stained stuff like you described.
General rule - if you wouldn't be happy to receive the items, then don't sell 'em.
Any right thinking person would NOT want shitty stained baby clothes.
You're minging, sorry!

Recycle.

Hang them out in the sun. The stains will disappear and it will cost you nothing. Sometimes my nappies come out of the wash with some staining still and the sun sorts it every time

Sorry but I wouldn't put my baby in home dyed clothes - too much chemicals, rubs off for the first while. I am a dedicated dyer of washed out clothes but can just imagine my baby sucking her sleeve and getting a dyed mouth.

Would you buy another babies poopy clothes and put it on your baby It is a bit yuck isnt it just recycle them or bin them

Floggingmolly · 15/10/2012 19:51

Why would you do this? Bin the bloody things, ffs Hmm

RillaBlythe · 15/10/2012 19:53

silverten I'm with you.

silverten · 15/10/2012 20:57

I wouldn't buy them if they were pooey, no Hmm. I don't think anyone would really go for obviously stained clothes, given the sheer amount of amazing stuff that's available for buttons these days.

But I don't believe in invisible poo either, and I am satisfied that my washing machine does actually clean the clothes.

We live in a time where you barely have to handle dirty clothing, with machines that will get most stains out of most clothes at the touch of a button, and somehow it's still easier to bin things without a thought for the sheer waste of it....
