So your point is Sarah, I loved it & stopped, so you can & more importantly - YOU SHOULD.
Your point is, actually, no point, your experience is an example of what was possible for your choice, you chose to stop smoking, despite loving it, because you saw that as the best choice for you.
Others - & I include myself - chose to continue to smoke - it's a choice, it is possible to chose to give up, equally, it's possible to chose to carry on smoking.
This is why I don't hold with Allan Carr (I didn't buy the book - I have never wanted to give up - a 'friend' bought it for me) - I read the first chapter & hurled it across the room.
Of course, if you have read Allan Carr & it worked for you, you would nod your head for my shame & sorrow.
I just like smoking - I like the way it feels, I really like the way it feels. When it fills my lungs & I exhale slowly, it feels better then few other things.
Really.
It's a very sensual thing.
The only thing I like better than cigarettes?
Cigars.
I know it's vilified, I know it's not great for my health, but I think I'll always fucking love it (& accept the inevitable consequences).
