WIBU to eat 2 bulbs of garlic when I've got a meeting tomorrow?

My boss has cancelled our weekly meetings for a month now but I've asked for one tomorrow. I really hate my job. Hate it hate it hate it. Anyway, I've just eaten 2 bulbs of garlic (the whole head, not just 2 individual cloves) and I don't really care what happens TBH.

How did you do it? Like an apple, or like an orange?

peeriebear · 08/10/2012 17:33

With any luck you'll have silent, hot, garlicky guffs.

Latara · 08/10/2012 17:35

The meeting may be over quite quickly then Grin

whattodoo · 08/10/2012 17:35

Depends on your reason for eating them.
If for a medical reason, YANBU.
If it's to spark a reaction from boss, then you probably are BU.

whattodoo · 08/10/2012 17:37

And haven't I read on MN somewhere about an unfortunate reaction to too much garlic?
Or was that because they shoved it up their bun?

Chopstheduck · 08/10/2012 17:39

how on earth did you eat it all?

wannabedomesticgoddess · 08/10/2012 17:40

Why would you want to eat that much garlic?

Teamumizumi · 08/10/2012 17:40

TBH the garlic has been slow roasted for an hour and is all mushy and I love the stuff. I just got carried away and ignored that voice in my head which said " You should n't be eating this!"

Mmm. Roasted caramalised garlic is yummy! Not sure I could eat two bulbs though. Did you roast some peppers too?

Teamumizumi · 08/10/2012 17:48

No, i roasted them with fresh beetroot, olive oil and fresh thyme. 180 deg, 40 mins :)

That sounds delish!

With some pitta bread and fresh lemon slices?

Coprolite · 08/10/2012 17:53

YANBU.Everyone should eat more garlic. Then we'd all stink and wouldn't be able to smell each other.

MeFour · 08/10/2012 17:53

Now you're just making me hungry

RubyFakeNails · 08/10/2012 17:53

Won't you gas them all with your farts?!

I only indulge in my garlic love when I know I shall be alone the next day.

KenLeeeeeee · 08/10/2012 17:54

I love garlic and could eat it by the truckload, so YANBU, though YA-probably-a-bit-stinky Grin

squoosh · 08/10/2012 17:54

Wow you really love garlic.

Roast will be fine as the flavour is very mellow. At first I thought you meant you were going to eat two bulbs of raw garlic. That would have been, ummm, fragrant.

AngelWreakinHavoc · 08/10/2012 17:54

Love garlic but never had it roasted. How is this done?

BenandBolly · 08/10/2012 17:56

I don't think you smell if you eat it roasted.

Whyamihere · 08/10/2012 17:58

I used to have a lecturer who would eat raw garlic sandwiches for breakfast, nobody would sit in the front row when he had the first few lectures.

Coprolite · 08/10/2012 17:58

Don't you have to chew on some parsley or something to neutralise the smell?

Chopstheduck · 08/10/2012 17:59

Ah roasted! Very nice, though I couldn't eat two bulbs.

Have you ever tried Delia's recipe for guinea fowl with thirty cloves of garlic? Sounds like you would enjoy that, and it is heavenly!

SwedishEdith · 08/10/2012 18:00

God, I wouldn't give it a second thought. I cannot smell garlic on anyone now so assume I just permanently stink of it. Sounds gorgeous what you've eaten. Have you made the guinea fowl recipe with something like 30 bulbs of garlic? Oh, I need to do it again soon now.

squoosh · 08/10/2012 18:01

You know what you should have had with the roast garlic? Baked camambert. Splodge the melty cheese on some crusty bread and squidge he roasted garlic on top.

Mmmm

MrsKeithRichards · 08/10/2012 18:02

Stick a clove up your bum, that'll take away the smell.

Teamumizumi · 08/10/2012 18:15

30cloves? Yay! Is the recipe online?
