to think leggings should be more substantial than tights?

Oh.. The shame Blush. 25 weeks pregnant and been living in a pair of lovely seam free maternity leggings that are so comfy. They feel super soft, more like tights than normal leggings so I should have seen the warning signs. Even when not up le duff I make sure my top covers my bum and hips so I thought I had found the holy grail of comfort combined with style.

And then I logged onto Facebook tonight.

My mate has posted photos of me (thankfully my security settings are too high for her to tag me) playing at the swing park with DS. You can actually count the cellulite freckles on my legs through my glorified tights leggings. I swear anyone seeing it must think I have no sense of propriety as it looks like am wearing my jumper as a frock Shock.

I have eaten a gigantic bar of galaxy to ease my mortification but am pondering whether I have just cause to take Blooming Scandalous Marvelous to court for some legging induced form of defamation of character?

:o I have that problem too, nothing is ever long enough to cover all my sins!

There are some nice long tunics in BHS :)

Smeghead denim look jeggings are OK on a 7 year old though aren't they? (Gets side tracked) I wouldn't wear them (except as you say in plain black under a very long tunic/ dress) but my slim 7 year old chose some in the shops and she looks lovely in them with a long T shirt (is my biased opinion causing me to let her go out looking silly? :( ) They are very practical for a sporty small girl who is always running about and climbing stuff, and better than jeans for a casual game of football surely...

Oh anything looks fine on a 7 year old! My lot put together some rum combinations sometimes, but they always manage to carry it off with far more panache than I would after a personal consultation with Gok Wan!

:)

I only ever wear leggings under skirts, as tights. My thighs would not stand up to such scrutiny!

Emma Forbes was in an article the other day about style and fashion. I think (but don't quote me as I can't be certain) that she/her stylist recommended wearing 2 pairs of 40denier tights under tunics, rather than leggings, as it gave better coverage and held you in more.

I would love a pair of proper thick leggings that you can't see through, so if anyone knows of any (that are not £80) please share!

And I have M&S Jeggings in a kind of indigo colour. They have been sent from Heaven as a wondrous gift. Not an exaggeration.

These are the ones I have from Dorothy Perkins that are called Treggings, whatever the hell they are! Trouser/leggings? Hmm

Anyway, they are nice and thick :)
