To wonder if it's really a good idea having the whole community out looking for April?

Just saw on telly this morning, that the whole of the town is out looking for the poor little girl abducted in Wales. There were even people who had driven from a town an hour away to join in the search.

Of course if it was my child, I would want everything possible to be done to find her, but I wonder if the police are acting responsibly by encouraging this.

What will happen if she is found by a random group of locals? To her, to the abductors, to the crime scene? I can't see how this particular side of the story is going to end well. Even the fact that the search is being reported so widely could have dangerous consequences.

Of course my heart goes out to the family.

It's really sad how some people try to tell themselves the parents must be to blame, and attack victims of something so unspeakably awful. I can only think it's some sort of defence mechanism so they can reassure themselves that this only happens to bad parents, and thus they are safe from ever being in that kind of pain themselves.

I hope to God this ends better than such stories usually do, and my heart is going out to her poor parents, and all those who love her. It's a nice community, that town - I know the place quite well. I hope they get the news they are praying for.

Hang on a minute!! I was simply asking cos I am abroad and it isn't on the news over here and it hasn't said in the articles I have read online.
