Trying not to think about it nelly but in the winter I can see one from our spare room and it proper scares me!

Now I never really did Dr Who, but ds has recently got into it (he's 8) & they scare the crumbs out of him, bless him.

He's currently in bed with the light on, comfort re-reading Harry Potter. Apparently Voldemort is positively cuddly by comparison.

YANBU! Although they are made out of polystyrene! Less scary when you've seen a RL one which has been decapitated Grin

Did they get you, molehill? Grin

YANBU 42 years old and they are the only Who monsters that really scare me. Haven't seen tonight's yet though.

Hecate Grin

I am slightly less scared now I've finished the episode, mainly because I am sobbing sniffling a bit.

FWIW, I was really starting to fancy Arthur Darvill.

They scare me SHITLESS. And not much does that. And I snivelled at the end.

I am so scared of them; those cherubs sent chills through me. I'm 33.

Trying to skim read thread in case there are any spoilers - waiting for DH to come in as definately not watching it on my own! You should try the Doctor Who exhitibition in Cardiff. You get to put on 3D glasses and see a weeping angel reach out to you through the time vortex. Freaky stuff.

Try working in Cardiff - at the end of "Blink", the first episode the Weeping Angels featured in, they had a montage which showed pretty much every statue in and near the city centre....

Felt really creeped out the first time in town after watching that episode.

Yup, they're really freaky. I get scared whenever I go past a window (there's pot plants on the window-sills so I can't draw the curtains.)

On the plus side, I'm considering dressing up as a weeping angel for the Halloween party I'm going to.

Yes, Tattie, I went to that (in London) with a friend who clung to my arm most of the way around! We were both quite obviously pregnant at the time. I think we must have been the oddest visitors they'd had in a long time.

I was trying to be very brave as my 6 yr old had already had a meltdown in the first room and pretty much refused to enter. We coaxed him in and thankfully he didn't want to wear the 3d glasses. If he had seen the darleks and angels reaching out to him it would have finished him off!

The Weeping Angels are the most terrifying Dr Who monsters ever, and I say this as a veteran of the Tom Baker era. A genius creation. And 'Blink' is the scariest Dr Who episode ever.

I liked the way they moved on from the Ponds, felt sorry for the Doctor but at least they got to live happily ever after-ish.

Can't wait till the Christmas special!

Yanbu. 45 and scared here.

Also sniffling after tonight's episode.

AnathemaDevice · 29/09/2012 21:39

YANBU, they are definitely the scariest Who monsters.

I sobbed at the end, lots. I'm blaming it on pregnancy hormones though. That and the fact I'm annoyed I'm not going to be able to lust after Rory every week any more.

Anathema - I'm still not sure whether it's the weeping angels or the Vasta Nerada (sp?) who are the scariest.

Nooo i knew I shouldn't have read this thread before watching the programme...! I shouldn't watch it at all, I am a complete wuss, terrified of the angels, the vashta nerada (no idea how to spell it) and the Silence! And that episode where they were in a dolls house. And the one with a weird Minotaur type thing. Maybe I should stick to cbeebies....
