I think I missed the boat last year.

I want a lovely one with boxes that I can fill myself which could possibly become an heirloom.

Is it unresonable to think about Christmas?

shera04 I celebrate it because it is tradition, and for everyone else in my life and because it would be selfish to DS not to?

What do you suggest? That I go on holiday by myself to a non-Christian country where Christmas is ignored every year and let DS and DH get on with it??

We had a wonderful nanny who, on the 1st of December in her first year of working with us, said she'd like to give the children their present early. It was a felt picture of a Christmas tree with 24 bags hanging underneath it. Each bag held a hand sewn Christmas ornament to hang on the tree. It's been used every year since, the children taking a day in turn. I'll be the one opening most this year as they are both away at university. This is the 18th year it will have been used and it still looks lovely.
