Autumn is my favourite time of year and always has been. My birthday, my sister's birthday, my brother's birthday - all in October. It feels as nice as Christmas to me. And Goose Fair comes to town (Nottingham), then Ilkeston Fair. Squeal.

And you can wear lovely boots and cardigans. And snuggle on the sofa with chocolate watching something on telly (like Monsters inc) as the dusk falls and it's all cosy in your house. It's magical.

I love all this shit too. Autumn is my favourite season. Well, probably. I actually like all the seasons (demented hippy or what?). Ok I struggle with February a bit.

And this year, for the first time in ages, autumn means a book. Books always happen in autumn though not every autumn brings one.

Autumn is my favourite season too. The fresh crispness in the air in the early mornings. The smell of Autumnal fires. The gorgeous colours of the trees. Halloween. Fireworks.

Yep love it. The colours, the warmth inside, Christmas.

And yes to running amok in parks and leaves with little children.

Always pleased to be here in London in Autumn. And all the other seasons really, but this one is good.

The colour changing and falling leaves. I love to go to the forest or parks on autumn, they look so gorgeous!!!!!

Definitely the smell of autumn beats any other time of year. Smell of something delicious cooking in the kitchen, or the punchy hit of pickling or chutney making. Smell of damp leaves and misty woods. Smell of the sea mist, bonfires, wooly things that have been in a musty closet with lavender bags over the summer. Smell of someone cooking bacon when it wafts down the street on a cold morning. Smell of logs on the fire and the kids clean pyjamas when theyve been warming in front of it at bedtime.
