Just that really. I'm 29 and after suffering from numerous gum ulcers and uncomfortable pinched gums on the top left side for the past year or so, I have found that my top left wisdom tooth is cutting through my gum. It feels weird and raw. I can't stop touching it with my tongue.

I'd like to think I am finally a wise person. Happy to give free advice to anyone about anything Grin.

I am 27 and have one coming through now. Causing me pain and sometimes struggle talking. Booked dentist appointment for this Friday. Hope they want to take them out as they are driving me crazy

Mine never came through. Had mine all removed when I was 28 as they were decaying in my gums. Had all 4 wisdom teeth, one regular tooth and several nerves removed at that same time. Painful is not the word!!

I am 35 and there is no sign of wisdom yet...

I had all 4 taken out when I was 36 - they had been playing up on and off for about 10 years.

None the wiser during that 10 years - I got divorced , met my DH, got married (again) and had our first child - so no they don't make you wiser Grin

I have one and a half and I am 29. Started when I was in my 20s but seem to take forever to come through.

I haven't got a full set, just the two, so I guess that makes me a half wit Grin

(The other two don't exist according to the Xray.)

I have one solitary wisdom tooth which started to erupt when I was 21. It came up a bit more through each pregnancy and is now fully through. It sits diagonally. It now hurts to jut out my bottom jaw but I am too chicken to go to the dentists.

I am 40 and have two and a bit. 'Partially erupted', the dentist says, I shouldn't have things partially erupting, I'm a grown woman, not a two-year-old. However, I am an idiot, so maybe I should.

I don't have any and I'm not very wise, however my 17 month little boy can probably sympathise with you he's getting his pre molars and a bit of a grump with it at the mo

I have one coming through my left lower gum but don't have any of the others - I'll be 37 in a couple of months. So I can share my DCs pain while their teeth come through!

Two of mine started coming through at 14 and I had them all by age 18 so I should be super wise and I am not

I'm 44 and have no sign of mine ... I do hope that they stay where they are and leave me in peace!

I'm 45 and no sign of them but my dentist says they could still make an appearance

I have only just noticed the flappy bit of gum. I have one coming through but I think I need to see the dentist really.
Not much they will do whilst I'm pregnant though.

God Dammit I thought I'd got away with having no wisdom teeth but after reading this it seems I could still have them come through. I'm 24. Here's to years of dental agony!

I'm 32 and have no wisdom teeth. I seem to remember my dentist saying that not everyone has wisdom teeth. What that means for my future intellectual life, I have no idea...

I currently have an infected one. Deep joy. I'm 21, and the bottom ones are partially through, no sign of top. Bottom ones may well be coming out, they've been infected three times now.

Had all mine removed at 26 and have been getting steadily wiser over the last 20+ years.
Was working for a company with private health insurance at the time, so had a lovely general op. and overnight stay in something like a country house hotel. Highly recommended

I had all of mine by the time I was 14.
My dentist said 'Ahh you're one of those very rare 14 year old' and I shat myself thinking he was going to say 'that smokes' (mum was in the room) but continued to say 'who has all their wisdom teeth through' Grin

rogersmellyonthetelly · 26/09/2012 07:02

All mine came through between 16 and 25. I only know because the dentist told me. I never had toothache or any problems. It certainly didn't make me any wiser, I'm just as doolally now as I ever was.
