Love it but miss my horse, that feeling of riding out in the crisp air, colours turning all around and that slightly damp tree sap smell mixing with woodsmoke.

Must take the DDs out in Welles instead.

ENormaSnob · 23/09/2012 11:38

I adore autumn and winter.

The clothes, the food, the colours, the weather, bommie night, the promise of Christmas and all that entails.

freddiefrog · 23/09/2012 11:52

I always find autumn quite depressing.

The end of summer, nights drawing in, wet and miserable weather, the thought of winter ahead.

I love spring and summer

Binkybix · 23/09/2012 12:29

Love bonfire night and sparklers and crispy leaves :)

ilovesooty · 23/09/2012 12:35

I love spring and summer. September isn't too bad but I hate everything from October to March. Having said that, as soon as Christmas, which I hate, has gone I feel the corner's turned.

ddubsgirl · 23/09/2012 14:43

me too & winter hate hot weather.

cheekybarsteward · 23/09/2012 15:17

Twas announced on Radio the other day that we (UK) are going to have a glorious display of colour this Autumn due to the weather conditions of the 'Summer' resulting in a lot of sugar in the leaves.
Although the trees are still unusually green at the moment they are going to be spectacular in golds, reds and bronzes.
I for one cannot wait

meditrina · 23/09/2012 15:31

My favourite season: the nights are drawing in, but with the promise of things to come, Guy Fawkes Night, Advent, Christmas.

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness; with bonfires and conkers and rustling through leaves, and a gold tinge of the last of the warm sun.

(It's January to March, when there is seemingly no end to the dark evenings, the weather seems wetter and greyer, and there is still an age until the sun has any strength again).

Mrsjay · 23/09/2012 15:32

I love it it feels like a 'proper season' summer has been rubbish but days are long at least in Autumn you know where you are and I like being all snuggled up , not looking out at 8 pm in the 'summer' at pissing rain, I will be moaning when it snows though Grin

Eliza22 · 23/09/2012 15:36

I love it too. I wish w'ed experienced some kind of "summer" but I do love that hunkering down-ness of autumn nights drawing in. I think it's why I like that tea bag advert with Johhny Vegas and Monkey. They nestle in the the evening whilst it's cold and wet outside.....

cheekybarsteward · 23/09/2012 15:47

Oooo and we had the log-burner installed yesterday Smile

Mrsjay · 23/09/2012 15:49

why does monkey need to recline he has itty bitty legs Grin

sades101 · 23/09/2012 15:49

I love Autumn and Winter - far more than I like summer... You have the falling of the leaves and beautiful colours, Halloween, Firework night, Christmas and getting to snuggle up indoors without feeling guilty that your not outside. Also I much prefer my Autumn/Winter wardrobe Layers darling Layerrss :D

howiwonder · 23/09/2012 15:51

always been my favourite season, and i will be having an autumn baby this year too so that makes it extra special!

Binfullofmaggotsonthe45 · 23/09/2012 15:57

There was nothing but advent calendars for sale yesterday, and I felt a bit sad that we weren't giving Autumn a fair chance.

yy to new boots
I bought a new coat last week and I want to wear it now!
It's the best time to go walking in the woods.
All the little critters that have been biting me in the evenings will have gone!
New seasons programming on tv
Halloween weekend at Europa Park with DS.
Pumpkin carving
All the supermarkets and food shops here are starting to get a bit gingerbready. (Switzerland/Germany)
They were selling the most beautiful baskets full of gourds, squash and pumpkins yesterday in the markets.
It's cold enough to eat fondue. Mmmmmmm......

ilovesooty · 23/09/2012 16:07

I can't stand Halloween, Bonfire Night or Christmas. If I could go away somewhere else until the New Year I would.

MoomieAndFreddie · 23/09/2012 16:31

I LOVE autumn as well :)

sades101 · 23/09/2012 16:36

How can you not like Halloween, firework night OR Christmas?! not even one of those?! They are all MAGIICAALL gets excited like a lil kid Also I just had my first child in August so can't wait even more to enjoy those times

ilovesooty · 23/09/2012 16:40

I hate them all. Halloween just encourages anti social behaviour; I'm scared of fireworks, and Christmas is something I'm alone for anyway and I can't stand the build up to it. I hate the cold, and dark nights as well.

pigletmania · 23/09/2012 16:52

I love it too. Nights drawing in, leaves turning an array of wonderful colours, conkers, fireworks, Halloween I could go on

sades101 · 23/09/2012 16:56

I just hope nothing goes wrong!!
