altinkum Way to piss on the OP's chips!

Bloody well done OP! I achieved that happy state two years ago after 13 years of clawing our way back from a triple redundancy (DH twice, me once) and resulting house repossession. I have no assets other than a tiny savings account but more importantly I have no debt!!

Wine for you!

Intersat · 13/09/2012 20:47

I am going to guess that this has been a very stressful time for you so well done :) I wish you good luck for the future.

Boring suggestion...Hmm whilst it might be tempting to blow your budget on Wine as you are in the habit of budgeting why not put a bit of the money you would have used for debt repayment away for a bigger treat like a holiday or a purchase you have been putting off.

financialwizard · 14/09/2012 11:27

OP

I finally got debt free (exes debt) after 10 years earlier this year. I know how you feel - Great weight off of the shoulders. Well done x

LisasCat · 14/09/2012 12:47

Wow, I opened this thread and then a pop up window appeared for.......
a debt solutions company!

Sometimes the intelligence of t'interweb scares me.

Anyway, well done OP, very, very jealous. We're about 4 years off that dreamed of day. But the local Waitrose will be selling out of sparkling pink stuff when it comes. (Yes our local supermarket is Waitrose, and no, this does not help us clear our debt any quicker!)

LisasCat · 14/09/2012 12:49

Fuck me, and another one. These debt companies have been very, very clever with their digital marketing strategy. I wonder what would happen if I opened a thread over in relationships with a woan upset her husband watched porn....

marge2 · 14/09/2012 12:50

Good for you! I'll join you in a year or so! Can't wait.
