Well just that really. Bottle was sealed. Opened it and it doesn't look curdled. Tastes quite strong but don't really remember what it should taste like??? This was a GIFT from MIL do you think she is trying to finish me off.

Enjoy

SchrodingersMew · 12/09/2012 22:02

Shock But it's cream! Surely it must be off by now?

OhDearNigel · 12/09/2012 22:04

alcohol's raison d'etre is as a preservative. Enjoy :D

Mintyy · 12/09/2012 22:07

Oh bleeeeee, I definitely wouldn't.

If you have lived all your life til now without drinking 6 years out of date Baileys and been happy enough, then why on earth would you want to change that now?

Pour it down the sink followed by a flushing of very hot water and forget all about it.

Iamgiulietta · 12/09/2012 22:08

Just gone down the sink. Daren't risk it. Don't think it's quite right. Have had to make do with vodka and flat ginger beer. Sad

Definitely the most sensible thing to do but I was kind of hoping that you'd drink it . I've always wondered that about Baileys, although in my case it's when I find half a bottle that's been open for ages. That's probably different anyway.

TheDogDidIt · 12/09/2012 22:14

Anyone know about half-opened bottles, now we're on the subject?

NeverKnowinglyUnderstood · 12/09/2012 22:14

I did that a couple of CHristmas eve's ago and was very very sick on Christmas day..

TheDogDidIt · 12/09/2012 22:16

Preservative quality of alcohol probably only works up to a point Sad. Maybe one day someone will invent Immortal Baileys. In the meantime we'll just have to make sure it never gets to hang around long enough Grin.

Tiredmumno1 · 12/09/2012 22:16

Drive like the wind Grin

Thedog I think it lasts for 2 years after its opened, as long as its stored how they say Smile

SchrodingersMew · 12/09/2012 22:17

wetnicole What a lovely name, is it not a school night?

MrDobalina · 12/09/2012 22:17

sell by dates are just for stock rotation really. Loads of stuff is fine way beyond. If it smelt ok and tasted ok, you could have kept it

Freshletticiaandslugs · 12/09/2012 22:20

FFS, just drink it. It was unopened and alcohol is a preservative. Now if it had been opened I would be a tad cautious but still drink it

MrDobalina · 12/09/2012 22:21

the 'ultimate denali' is a flippin' sleeping-bag! Hmm

SchrodingersMew · 12/09/2012 22:23

Really? Hahaha.

SchrodingersMew · 12/09/2012 22:24

It's a hiking trip in a National park called "Denali". Confused

WerthersUnOriginal · 12/09/2012 22:24

Maybe it's turned into a nice mature Baileys cheese.
