have never needed one myself.
when travelling dc have either slept with me in bed or on the floor on a matress or pile of blankets.
so we don't have one and don't have the space to store one. and don't want to buy one that will be used for a couple of nights and no more...

YANBU. If it is your sister that needs one, could she not buy one?

coolerking · 12/09/2012 09:20

She wants one, she buys one.

Is she coming in a car? If so, no excuse, if by public transport could you borrow one? I've always used them when little, so I do quite like them.

Poledra · 12/09/2012 09:21

Can't you borrow? A friend of mine who has no DCs of her own knows that I will cheerfully haul mine down out the loft for her when any visiting friends need it.

Kayano · 12/09/2012 09:22

I bought one for my DH that goes with us.

It's her who needs to get one

MousyMouse · 12/09/2012 09:24

most friends have older children (and no space either), so don't have one.
coming by train.
I will make dn a lovely bed on the floor next to dsis airbed.

Borrow one or go on eBay & get a local one, then relist when they go. Simples.

HeavenlyChocolate · 12/09/2012 09:24

YANBU. Why would you buy one if you know you have no use for it? I have one for when we are staying with family. I bring it because it's my child who will need it so it's up to me to supply it.

Poledra · 12/09/2012 09:25

Where are you Mousy, if you don't mind saying? You could borrow mine...

igsisgreenngold · 12/09/2012 10:10

You could post on the local boards and ask to borrow one? I've always found mumsnetters very keen to help out!
