No. Why? Mine was 18 this week. He wasn't here for his birthday, though. It is strange to think that he is now an "adult" Smile.

I cried in secret when my eldest turned 18 in July. I guess it was just a response to the whole end of an era/rites of passage thing.

I'm also delighted that I managed to raise her to adulthood without any major traumas and now feel a little bit off the hook :)

@Almost - I think you're right about the end of an era thing.

What set me off was the making of a memory card with loads of pics of him through the years and trying to think of music to go with it. The Queen song about these are the days of our lives came into my head - waaah! Facial tsumami.

I won't be using it on the memory card though - far too maudlin.Smile

no not at all... I am upset as dd is going to be in y3 next year and "round the corner" by the time she is 18 I will be howling...

Oh YANBU, my eldest dd is 17 and I've been broken hearted about her growing up for about 3 years! Miss my baby terribly Sad
