To think 24 hours does not mean 18 hours?

Dp lived in this home for a year before I did. He's always had a tempuous relationship with the landlady and her husband. Basically, they don't do as much as they should, and Dp is very rude and mildly arrogant to them. In return the landlady can be patronising and sarcastic. I, however, since moving in have got on ok with the landlady/lord and tried to be the one in contact with them to keep things calm between them and dp. We can't move out as contract is two years.

They have just put a new bath in which is great, but the landlady wrote not to use it for 24 hours. We were out at wrk when they put it in, but they probably did it about 10am. I have an idea thy are returning tomorrow to finish off some bits and pieces.

Dp said he is having a bath before he goes to work in the morning at 4am, but I said he can't use it for 24 hours, and if landlady comes round in morning and sees shower has been used, it may well flare up their mutual resentment again. I said to Dp that we should text her and ask if it would be ok to have a shower before work in the morning, but he started swearing and said he's not asking her if he can have a fcking shower! I'm thinking of texting her thanking her for having the bath put in and asking if it'd be ok if we had a shower before we went to work in the morning. I hate living here very much lately :(
