I am 39 weeks pregnant so today parked in a P and Toddler/child parking space.
I did get a few funny looks so wondered if IABU parking there. Normally wouldn't but car park quite full (so couldn't park away from other cars) and P and T spaces fairly empty.

go on, let all the hate out, you know you want to. I'm like Oliver Cromwell, Genghis Khan and Hitler, only worse, right?

instant porridge pots are marketing ploys they didnt have them when i started being rather keen on porridge they cause bad feeling due to the none plain ones often being more desirable. i know its nothing to do with parking but they should ban them

Of course YABU.
The fact that it's not an offence doesn't mean it's reasonable.
P&T spaces are useful, not just because of the proximity to the store (slightly useful, but also because there's usually a walkway to the store tht offers some protection to your small child from the traffic.
And the suggestion that if you can't get a child / carseat out in a space is fucking ridiculous, especially if you're driving a coupe'.

And imagine you're 39 weeks pregnant and taking your toddler to the shops but can't use the P&T space because a pregnant woman who doesn't have a toddler with her has taken it.
ffs.

P&C spaces are a marketing ploy and nothing else. They are a total manipulation of feelings. Quite impressive as it goes.

Namechangegalore - it's still laughable how people can compare these spaces to the disabled bays. Bloody ridiculous.

Your chosen moniker says it all really. No hate on my part, just a little sinking despair.

Really? How sad for you. Its completely unwarranted, but since when did truth get in the way of aibu frothing?

YNBU. You do have a Baby on Board. I know what it is like trying to get back in my car heavily pregnant when someone has parked really close. Not much fun.
Plus I am sure in the past at least one supermarket specified that these spaces were intended for mums to be too.

My local Sainburys have signs up saying their spaces can be used by pregnant mums and are for the use with children up to the age of 12. My DH loves going there as I now have a 2 door car which means I need more room to get my DD's out of. What really winds me up is the people who park in them then leave child asleep in car with Dad, Mum (insert person here) whilst the other one goes shopping. If you are not taking the child you don't need a bigger space......

YANBU to use the P&T space. In Germany many big supermarkets have parent/child spaces AND pregnant woman spaces. Brilliant idea!

FWIW I have a car with sliding back doors - bloody fantastic when all the P&T spaces are filled by people who don't have kids. No chance of bashing them and loads of room to manouvere kids and/or car seats. Happy days.
