To sit in garden while toddler plays?

DD is 4.5weeks.

Ds is 3 and currently very happy playing in garden with toys (making up stories involving fire engines and dinosaurs).

I was planning on taking them out somewhere, but I am quite enjoying sitting holing baby while he plays.

That's alright isn't it. Independent play is good for him right?

agua play - snort! and I though I could rely on my fellow chocolate-named sister to back me up on my wankiness language. I also follow her around soft play saying "do you want your agua, DD?". People must HATE me.

DD did copy putain yesterday .

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 04/09/2012 19:57

If your DD does agua play and copies putain she will be tri-lingual. SilkInsideAChestnutShell you must be so proud.

Yeah, well, DS tugged on his willy in the bath last week and yelled 'Dinkle!' at the top of his lungs Hmm Grin

I just want to see a performance parenting thread about the harassed mother screeching 'we do not say fuck, we say putain, ffs' Grin.

Agua play has made my MN night. Congratulations!

It's not chocolate it's Schokolade or chocolat! We are starting at the tri-lingual level, but hoping (see above post) to add Mandarin soon.....

Would you like some Schokolade with your agua, darling? DD has twin friends who's DF is Chinese. She may pick up some Mandarin yet. Grin

Maybe we'll go all Chalet School and have different language days. Mandarin Monday, Deutsch Dienstag and so on. See y'all on G&T thread Wink.

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 04/09/2012 20:59

I expect to spend all my time on G&T soon assuming that means Gin and Tonic.

YANBU There is new research evidence to say 'downtime' for children I.e. no structured activities is important to childrens development, so chill on, it's a wn win.

I thought you meant you sit in the garden while they are upstairs playing.
