4 exceedingly dull women blathering on, talking in cliches and applauding each other? DM loves it and I just don't get it. It's tedious. Am I missing something?

Jane had a PHANTOM pregnancy and her boyfriend got excited googling car seats but it turns out she wasn't pregnant and she done cartwheels.

Is this shit for real?

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 03/09/2012 13:50

He is an oap and I am surprised she still has periods, meow!

What she isn't with Keelie's Dad, well she never mentiined that every time she was in the show.

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/09/2012 13:54

I watched this years ago when Kaye Adams was in it.
I think she probably left because they started to dumb it down, she was really good on The Wright Stuff last week and also has a talk show on Radio Scotland.
The rest of them are ghastly, I can't stand them.
I think JSP is wasted on it too.

RuleBritannia · 03/09/2012 14:56

I used to watch it when Kaye Adams was the Chairwoman and I quite liked Coleen Nolan. Apart from Kinda Bellingham and Jane MacDonald, the others can leave as far as I'm concerned.

I haven't watched it for years because they talk over one another and half the time I can't hear what they are saying anyway because of the audience noise.

VonHerrBurton · 03/09/2012 16:01

Yep, gave it up years ago. Hated the way they picked a meh topic, all pretended to have different views on it, squawked and screeched at eachother feigning 'I'm right, I'm right' with a few lame jokes thrown in that you could see coming a mile off. Cue much eye rolling from me.

BORING.

Oh, did you know Carole Mc is engaged to a much much younger man and they never stop shagging?

crypes · 03/09/2012 16:14

A couple of years ago i read that Denise

Welch knew her depression comes on when her nipples itch !!! I think she just says anything to keep peoples attention. I dont see the point of listening to the loose women views when all their doing is seeing if the audience clap or laugh at them.

PuppyMonkey · 03/09/2012 16:17

A lot of folk can't see the point of MN. But, you know, sometimes it's all right here. Wink

Darkesteyeswithflecksofgold · 03/09/2012 16:40

I bloody hate this show. As well as a platform for Carol McGiffin to air her staunch right wing views its also massively sexist.
Whenever they talk about sex they always seem to intimate that women dont like sex and use it as a bargaining tool.
Views like this being aired are extremely damaging to women and men. Women who are in a sexless relationship for instance where its the MAN who doesnt want sex already feel that they cant talk about it to anyone. Thanks to strereotypes reinforced by shitty mysogynist shows like this.

BlueMagoo · 03/09/2012 16:48

This was only watchable when Kaye Adams was hosting. Anything she's on is automatically good.

YingTongIddleIPo · 03/09/2012 16:52

I think ITV think it will cheer up the depressed wimmin stuck at home, poor things. Lots of whooping, loud noises, running men down and loud colours to wake our dead brains up.

I despise it.

YingTongIddleIPo · 03/09/2012 16:53

With a competition even your sleeping baby could do.

tiredemma · 03/09/2012 16:56

One word to describe all of them.

Vacuous.

YingTongIddleIPo · 03/09/2012 16:57

It's surely had its day by now.

LeeCoakley · 03/09/2012 17:01

I loved it when it first started with Kaye and Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore (I think that was her name) and when Kerry Katona and Colleen Nolan were on they seemed quite normal. Now I wouldn't watch it. Carol Mac has gone completely doolally since she got a fella.

Cydonia · 03/09/2012 17:06

Where do they get the audience from? And what do they give them to make them so excitable? The screams!! I thought we had a summer respite with Gino and Mel but their audience was even worse with their over-exaggerated ' mmmmmm ' s!
( yes I know I don't HAVE to watch it! )

FalseStartered · 03/09/2012 17:07

somewheresomehow · 03/09/2012 17:08

cant stand the program but if it did disappear how would bella (magazine) get their articles crap every week without the women

MrsReiver · 03/09/2012 17:41

Kaye Adams has a radio talk show on Radio Scotland from 9am weekday mornings. If you have cable tv you should be able to find it someone up around the 900s. If I remember right, there was a discussion about Loose Women on her show's facebook page, and she said the direction the show had gone disappointed her.

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/09/2012 17:50

They're all pretty right wing.
If they were on MN they'd be 'the benefit basher, I've worked hard all my life, bring back capital punishment Daily Mail readers' etc. types.
The little blond one from the Bill is the only one I've ever seen arguing the opposite, apart from Kaye that is.
Considering the line up is an ex weather girl, a B list actress who gets her boobs out at every opportunity, a former cruise singer and a seriously crap singer from a 70's girl band I don't understand why they feel their opinions about anything are worth listening to.

VonHerrBurton · 03/09/2012 18:13

You're spot on with your summation, darkesteyes

I also think that if there was a 'panel' of knobhead, sexist pig, brainless men on at lunchtime every day hinting at the size of their penises, their sexlife or womens' tits - it would have lasted approx, ooh, I dunno, one hour?

Wizard77 · 21/01/2015 10:12

Steady there VonHerrBurton. So discusson would be less palatable than Jane Moore effusively boasting how she would rather have the cutlery in her dishwasher facing sharp end upwards so she could push her long-suffering husband onto them; so he would die, just like the poor woman who had a similar fate for real? Yes, she said exactly this last week live on Loose Women. Come on, if this what we stand for feminism then I'd rather be a "sexist pig" dear. J Moore is a truly awful example of a woman, 'feminist', journalist. And should be investigated for such comments

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 21/01/2015 10:17

I can't watch it. I did when it started years ago but its just so annoying now. Its vapid and vacuous. Yes I used the two V's. I think the serious witty debate I get on here has spoilt me.
*sniffs

NetHuns · 21/01/2015 10:23

LoisDrankMyTableDecoration · 21/01/2015 10:25

Arrgh! So it is! Angry

StarsOfTrackAndField · 21/01/2015 10:30

Top Gear? Surely that's the closest male equivalent. Boorish, crass, sexist, racist, xenophobic, homophobic tossers makes crass jokes in front of a studio of braying acolytes
