AIBU to think that £25 for a goody bag is bloody expensive?

Hi ladies,
Took my dd and her cousin to see In the night garden live at the Trafford centre today with my dp. The goody bags were £25 for one, incidentally we didnt buy one but i just thought it was very expensive for something they can rip up. By the looks of it they had a little sponge pad thing for them to sit on whilst there and a load of other crap! I did buy them an upsy daisy light thing that spins around they were £6 each. Im not tight if anything im too frivilous with money really but i just thought £25 was a joke!

I'd have had to get them one but that's ridiculous!!! Half a days wage for me for a goody bag.

It's not fair on parents that.

If there were something really good in there that i thought was worth £25 i would have bought one but there wasnt. She didnt really play with the fecking upsy daisy thing its currently lying on our kitchen worktop!

We've been too and did get one for our dd (£20 if per-booked). I'm glad we got one as our dd is obsessed with the cushion and we've had to read the book that was in the bag about 1000 times so far.

I was looking at booking tickets for my dd as she loves ITNG. I was shocked that for me, dd and hubby it would cost £52 just to watch a 45 minute performance! I will still take her, but it will be a Christmas present for next year I think. And I will probably buy the bloody goodybag too. I dont know how people with more than one child manage it sometimes!

rockandahardplace2012 · 02/09/2012 21:32

lovelyredwine would you say it was worth £20 though?

My DS is Disney Mad and I'm always shocked at the prices of the souvenirs but this is even more extortionate! Shock I like to treat my DS too but £10 is my limit for a memento.

I would go armed with my own goody bag I think, bet you could do something similar for much less than that if you went to B&M or homebargains or something.

We went and I did buy it. From what I can remember it contains Upsy daisy cushion (I don't know where it is), ITNG aqua doodle (crap - no where near as good as the normal one), a light spinning thing (dd doesn't like it because she caught her fingers in it once) a book (ok - that she loves). If we went again, I wouldn't buy it.

Exactly I think £10 is ample maybe even £15 at a push but £25 my dp nearly collapsed when they told him! Most of the kids that had these "goody bags" wasnt even interested in them!

We went to ITNG a few days ago and the merchandising was over the top. I thought it might be as the website kept offering me extras when I made the booking. Fortunately dd didn't wasn't bothered, although I did buy a pinkyponk balloon at the end. Glad we only paid for the standard seats.

PS Thought the show was really good.

It is a brilliant show and the girls loved it, will be taking her again next year hopefully! Even me and her Dad sang along Grin
