Its a tp Challenger with 2 platforms but no slide - cost £330 new. Only 2 years old. Have looked on ebay and they seems to go from anything between £25 and £150 depending on the day of the week.

I want to sell it to some new neighbours so don't want to look mean by asking too much but I think they are still getting a pretty good bargain plus all dismantled, labelled up and delivered to their door.

Not really an AIBU. You might get a better response in the chat section

BuntCadger · 02/09/2012 15:26

Yanbu that's a fantastic price

changeforthebetter · 02/09/2012 15:27

God, no! Do you live near me? It's a bargain, plus none of that tedious arsing about on EBay with 'watches' and 'bids' and transport Grin

TheDoctrineOfEnnis · 02/09/2012 15:27

Sounds reasonable.

changeforthebetter · 02/09/2012 15:28

Print off a couple of the ones that went for over £100 to show them, if you like but they would have to prize numpties to dispute that price.

agnesf · 02/09/2012 15:28

Cfb - could I push it up to £120 then as was hoping to use money to do some tedious arsing about on eBay and buy DCs a trampoline.

I would pay £120 (well, actually I would have to write you and IOU as my new job starts tomorrow after a brief period of unemployment Wink) I think you might as well ask. Depends what they're like - nice and normal or pushy and grabby. You could always negotiate "We were thinking of around £150 which is what they go for on EBay, what do you think?"

agnesf · 02/09/2012 15:35

Thanks - they are actually very nice. I have already just given them my daughter's old rather battered micro scooter but was hoping they might become guinea pig minders/ do babysitting swaps etc in future. So I'd rather go in low than high.

Sorry - second hand climbing frame with platforms - no slide, no mention of tent cover or scramble nets etc, I'd only offer £50 ....

Bought ours second hand from the newsagents window ads - with a slide, den and scramble net for £70

meala · 02/09/2012 15:37

I got one with slide and extension for £50.

Piffpaffpoff · 02/09/2012 15:40

I sold something recently to a friend-of-friend that I wanted a particular price for, on eBay they went from about £90 -£140 so I just worked out the average and said that was my price. I also explained how I had arrived at that price. they paid it with no negotiation.

I think I you can demonstrate that it is a reasonable price then you should be ok.

changeforthebetter · 02/09/2012 15:41

Ok, ask for £100 but open to offers. If you are going to be asking for favours then you are right to pitch it low.

agnesf · 02/09/2012 15:47

Oh dear meala & BTW - I'll check back on ebay. The prices do seem to vary quite widely so I just wanted to pitch it at something that seemed reasonable ....

There's the convenience. All labelled up and delivered with you on hand to sort out any queries................

agnesf · 02/09/2012 15:59

Not sure why the prices vary so much on ebay - I think part of its due to where you are and how many other people are likely to be bidding on it.
