It's the live opening ceremony and there's an ad break!!

if it lives up to the adverts they will do a great job

C4 do seem really behind it and into it and one of the commentators seems really clued up.

I just hope I'll learn something about dressage from the C4 presenter because the BBC one helped me understand what was meant to happen

Channel 4 have had paralympics programmes on for the last year or so nothing was really happening in the ad breaks ? and why is the beeb better the paralympics is on all day and maybe unlike the olympics ch4 maybe just show the sport and not go over the same thing over and over again like bbc because they had so much time to fill ,

Thought it was terrible the way the ad breaks interrupted the team entry.

The USA is fielding one of its biggest ever paralympic teams but just as they were coming in C4 cut to an advert for wrinkle cream.

Paralympics are ruined for me in a way because of the adverts. Totally spolied it.

Advert breaks will be the norm for televised Olympics in rest of the world.

But do people sit and watch every single second of the paralympics do people not go to the loo make a [cuppa] talk to somebody in the room Im not sure why adverts spoil it.

Advert breaks are really starting to get on my nerves and it's only the first morning!

I am surprised they haven't opted to make the adverts 'picture in picture' in a corner of the screen instead, more people would watch them rather than go off to make a cuppa etc and if anything like a goal happens at least you could see it even if what you hear is the advert.

I just wish I could find the Opening ceremony on 4OD, but I can't ANy ideas? I would have recorded it if I'd know - now the kids want to watch it and I can't find it.

maybe wait till later on there is 4/7 too I think its 140 on sky not sure about cable or freeview they might be showing it . I think it takes a day or so to go online , try you tube

Use the red button on C4. No ads! I'm enjoying their coverage of the swimming just fine.

I'm glad the BBC don't have monopoly of all the Olympic/Paralympic coverage tbh.

Nope I resent being forced to pay the licence fee and think the BBC should make its own money like all the other channels!

I would quite happily keep paying the tv license if it means the BBC wouldn't show adverts but that's another thread!
I've solved the advert problem by switching between the 3 C4 Para channels on Sky.

Don't you think the BBC has shown enough sports this year? Euro 2012, Wimbledon, Olympics.
