We already let a posh fool with no real life experience trash the country why would we want another?

I can't believe you're so negative about Tony Blair.

SoupDragon · 28/08/2012 15:43

BoJo is a buffoon.

albertswearengen · 28/08/2012 15:43

That lovable cad schtick is just that -partially scripted apparently.

This is interesting

I feel the same about those people who think Boris is harmless as I did about those who thought Tony Blair was a fab bloke. He always came across as totally insincere and yet people thought he was brilliant.

NovackNGood · 28/08/2012 15:45

Boris will be a great PM but what we really need is for Cameron to call an election and go back to Westminster with a full majority. But they if Scotland votes for independance he can ditch the dopey dems as their will be a huge amount of labour MP's given their P45's from Westminster that day.

LadyBeagleEyes · 28/08/2012 15:46

Boris for PM?Shock.
This is when I would definitely vote for Scottish Independence.

glastocat · 28/08/2012 15:46

He's not a buffon at all, that is a persona designed to fool people (and it works very well) He's just another tory twat, GB would be the laughing stock of the world if he were PM.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/08/2012 15:46

YABVU. He may well be better than the one you've got (could hardly be worse) but he would be an absolute loose cannon. He is even further to the right of the current government, deeply sexist, Europhobic, and shows a massive lack of respect for people who work with him and in his personal life.

The fact he appears to say what he thinks and put it all bluntly is an act. He is as cold and calculating as any other politician, and as capable of lying his arse off for votes.

tethersend · 28/08/2012 15:48

Boris?

Is that you?

Liketochat1 · 28/08/2012 15:50

Not the last time I looked in the mirror Tethersend!

People love him because he's a frightful wheeze and gets up to all sorts of jolly japes.

This image has been carefully crafted. Everything is so staged, like him 'accidentally' getting stuck on that zip wire. He has his eye on No 10 and it's people who fall for his Billy Bunter act that will put him there.

I despair of the world sometimes.

mignonette · 28/08/2012 15:51

Anybody recall the "Picaninnies with Watermelon smiles" comment he made? So deeply offensive I do not know where to begin.

I'm sure if he waits 16 or so years then all his alleged 'love children' will be able to vote for him- there's enough of them (allegedly) to win him the election....[shocked].....

Bobyan · 28/08/2012 15:51

He'd be too busy shagging around behind his wife's back...

lljkk · 28/08/2012 15:52

People only like Boris because they don't take him seriously. As a capital city figurehead of posh English eccentricity he's great.

NovackNGood · 28/08/2012 15:55

So big deal he has love children. Half of labour voters do too. At least he is not relying on everyone else paying for them is he.

mignonette · 28/08/2012 15:59

Of course other people pay for them. I'm talking about moral leadership, which as a Mayor and MP belonging to the Cuntservatives, means frequent moral pronouncements and judgements affecting the electorate.

OneMoreChap · 28/08/2012 15:59

YANBU to want whoever you want to be PM.

We're such a class ridden society that independent school, wealthy Mr & Mrs (fill your pockets from the public purse) Blair were seen as Labour. How we laughed.

Same as all those naice Labour people who wanted comprehensive education, pulling up the grammar school ladder behind them.

I see no credible PM material anywhere. I always liked Ken Clark, but I suspect that's just because Edwina Currie hated him.

Lottapianos · 28/08/2012 16:09

It really worries me when people refer to Boris as a great British eccentric or similar. To me, an eccentric is someone who is different from the crowd, interesting, thoughtful, entertaining, courageous, someone who is true to themselves and totally unselfconscious and genuine. Boris is none of those things - he's a phoney and a fake and his 'lovable rogue' schtick is all manufactured. He's a self-serving cynic who's only out for himself.

Jenny Jones from the Green Party said that all the women on the London Assembly have lodged a cross-party complaint about Boris because they are so sick and tired of his sexist behaviour. I'm ashamed that we have someone like that running our city, the thought of him running the country is a joke too far.

He's fucking Blofeld.

I'm shocked that people are seduced by his buffoonery, he's rapier sharp, slimy, evil Tory in the mould of all evil self serving capitalist scumbags out to fuck us in the ass.
