to think that people receiving something on freecycle shouldn't dick me about with when they are going to collect it?

I put a cot on freecycle today, stipulating really clearly that it has to go today, so don't say you'll take it if you can't collect it. The first responder says that he is desperate as gf is pregnant and it would be great blah blah blah, he'll be here at 6.

At 6:15 I got an email from him saying he had to take GF to hospital with 'pains' so could he get it tomorrow. I replied to say fair enough, hope all is well, see you tomorrow, but I'm going to work so it has to be early (as my mum has the kids and may want to take them out for the day). Please make sure it's before 10 at the absolute latest, ideally before 9am.

I just got an email in reply: "can we make it 10:30?".

AIBU to reply and say no, get here early or I'm giving it to someone else who can get here on time? Or is that mean to someone who's gf has been to hospital? Is that not in the spirit of freecycle? I just feel a bit like he's getting a free cot so we shouldn't be inconvenienced by it.

I would just reply & say no you can't make it 10:30, it's not convenient for you. Maybe suggest another time & if he can't make that either then I think you can ask if he seriously wants it.

"Sorry, I won't be here then. I leave at ten at the absolute outside so if you come after then I won't be in."
