She's 19 and very clever and chatty and wonderful and has AS. She applied for a part-time job with a local council as a 'mother tongue teacher' (Basically all children are entitled to a certain number of hours tuition in the native language). I thought she was wasting her time because she is only 19 (although been a brownie leader since 12), but they invited her for interview

The interview went terribly she said. They expressed surprise at her age, surprise at her lack of experience, kept going on about another candidate and how good she was, and it she was back out the door in 10 minutes. :(
They just phoned. She got the job and made her mum cry.
