I am listening to club classics & remembering years gone by, I feel so sad that I am now 33, fast approaching 34 & will never again be that girl........ I think I may actually want to cry (fuck me this is bad & waaaaayyy to much gin, clearly....)

I'm 45 and actually feeling great. I joined British military fitness class, I'm not knackered all the time as I was when had younger kids in my 30s. I'm comfortable about the way I look unlike my 20s. It's not all bad you know.

How sensible TJPJ - pin it to the fridge! I am just off for a 7 mile run and I am well over 50! (aiming for a half marathon).
You can't stop age marching on so just forget it.

BikeRunSki · 26/08/2012 08:05

I graduated 20 years ago this year!!!! I'm now the person at work who knows the answers because I have done it all before .

I felt v old when watching the Reading Festival on Friday night and they said it was 33 years since The Cure had first played Reading. (Get that you thirty somethings!). Robert Smith is an example of not aging well!

Oh please.

I'm 52 and inside I feel 25. Just remember that the body might flag but confidence can soar. As I said on another thread I'm having a convertible for my 60th. Just hope I can get down that far to drive it Wink

Right, morning ladies-awake & slightly hungover lol.

Some of your posts have made me chuckle-don't get me wrong I'm still having fun I suppose it's just a different kind of fun & I feel a little sad at how fast time passes.

Anyway Gaga gig in 2 weeks, can't bloody wait!!!!!

Thanks ladies!

Binkybix · 26/08/2012 09:14

I feel like this too! I would not want to swap my life now with husband etc, but sometimes I think how much fun it would be to go out and do what I wanted with who I wanted again...then I remember the realities of it and maybe not quite as much!

I am a bit sad seeing crow's feet etc too - it's weird seeing all my friends from many years starting to age as well. I still think of us as about 18!

Binkybix · 26/08/2012 09:16

Ps tricky woo - as in the dog in all creatures great and small?!

KellyElly · 26/08/2012 11:14

A few of my friends have said this and I disagree. I'm 34 next month and don't feel old at all. I also feel I know who I am much more than I did in my 20's. Yes I don't have as many mad nights any more (more to do with the fact I'm a mum than my age :)) but if I want to go clubbing or go to Ibiza I don't feel past it. Most of the DJs and the Ibiza Town crowd are in their 30s and 40s. Obvs you wouldn't go to the San Antonio foam parties with the 17 year olds but would you really want to??? You are not old you're just at a different stage in your life. Just keep living life how you feel inside and you'll never feel old :)

minikimmi · 26/08/2012 11:16

I'm nearly 39, still feel quite spritely but I'm getting the odd twinge of old age every Saturday night now when my dd is getting ready to go clubbing and I'm in my jammies with a glass of wine by 9pm Shock

TerraNotSoFirma · 26/08/2012 11:20

I will be 33 in a few months and was feeling the same.
But then my dad said to me " better than the alternative love"
Very true, so that made me feel better.
Then I got id'd for buying cigarettes and that made me feel LOTS better. :)

DiscoDaisy · 26/08/2012 11:25

I'm 36 and my OH is 41 and we go clubbing in Ibiza most years. We aren't the oldest ones in the clubs by a long shot!

exoticfruits · 26/08/2012 12:11

I did the 7 miles- felt so good that I have actually entered for the half marathon rather than my just talking about it.

Binkybix · 26/08/2012 12:22

Well done exotic fruits. Just trying to persuade myself to go for a run now!
