Especially when its on a sensitive subject - am intrigued as to why people don't read a whole thread before posting their opinion.

I always feel for those brave posters who post in AIBU and then accept they have been unreasonable and still get lots of posters commenting on their OP without having realised they've backtracked. I mean the OP's posts are even high lighted now so its easy to at the very least read their comments even if you skim over others.

Sorry, haven't read the thread but YABU.

What an odd opinion lovebunny
This is a forum, lot's of people with lot's of opinions.
Are you really only interested in the Op and your response?
How boring.

Mrsjay · 22/08/2012 17:40

I meant to say earlier I have a habit of replying to a post then going through to read it then if i come across something else then I will reply, I have just answered a thread that was from November last year I realy must read threads through Grin

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/08/2012 17:42

You see Wig if you'd read the whole thread you'd have realised that joke had already been done by Custardo Wink

I agree LadyBeagleEyes but sort of explains why people do it.

Grin

I know, and now for my real answer, I do agree that even if it is a long thread one should at the very least skim read the OPs posts otherwise how do you know whether you are offering anything useful? And isn't that the point of answering?

So YANBU.

marquesas · 22/08/2012 18:27

I totally agree with you OP.

What always makes me smile is posters who start their posts with "I haven't read the whole 312 pages of posts but...." Do they really think that whatever they have to say after only reading the first post hasn't already been said?

MrsCampbellBlack · 22/08/2012 18:47

Yes I love that too marquesas - its a very special type of arrogance I guess to think your opinion is so unique Wink
