To not want/have a contract phone

I've never had a contract on any phones of mine. Im on o2 & have a pay as you go deal with them similar to a contract. I top up £10 on the 26th of every month but I have to top the phone up myself, it doesn't automatically come out of my account. They take the £10 & replace it with unlimited texts & 100 free calling mins.

I'm happy with this cause then once the mins are gone then I don't go over. Loads of people I know have a contract phone but I just see it as another bill to pay without knowing if that bill is the same each month.

Would she need to change network to get that £6.90, and maybe therefore get another phone or gets hers unlocked? New SIM, transferring number business.

See lazy thread going elsewhere; I wouldn't text someone downstairs to bring me a cuppa but that kind of faffing about with phone options is the sort of thing I can't face if not strictly necessary.

It depends whether O2 do a comparable deal, if you tell them you might go elsewhere they usually step up. Transferring to another network isn't hard though, its in the interests of the new network to make it as smooth as possible.

"easy as possible"

That's what they say about transferring bank accounts, sure enough the amount of problems DH has every time he decides to change current account.
