... if we were restricted from chatting about '1st world problems'?

This is not an international crisis forum, so can we please give the "oh, that's such a first world problem" high-horsery a rest please?

I found it! Sorry to the OP of this thread but it's one of the very few that made me wonder if that was all they had to worry about

Chubfuddler · 14/08/2012 15:36

I have never seen this used snootily. Only as a joke.

LadyInThread · 14/08/2012 15:38

SPB - it's....er...... a very ^detailed^ post isn't it?

LoopyLoopsOlympicHoops · 14/08/2012 23:44

wow. That was enlightening.

SPB - Thanks for linking that. Best reply was the one about Kofi Annan.

But, although people took the piss, some advice was given, the O.P took it well and it was actually a nice thread.

What makes threads shite is some drama llama wishing pestilence, anal warts and a life that's fodder for a misery memoir, on the O.P for daring to complain about something petty. Those threads never end well.

SPB - ahahhahhahahahahaha!! I can't believe I actually waded through that post. I can sort of see what she was on about but, goodness! Long winded or what. Grin

I have seen the "first world problem" comment used very snidily a few times on MN. But as we mostly live in the first world, that's really where most of our problems are likely to lie - so it's a bit of a pointless comment, IMO.
