to be annoyed at BA for seating my toddler on his own, in a different set of seats from any family?

DSis, DS1, DS2 and I are flying tomorrow morning. I have just checked in online to find we are split in three different bits of the airplane, with me and DS2 (a baby on my lap) in row X on the aisle, DS1 (2!) across the aisle and DSis, who has travelled to London specifically to fly with us and help with DS1, on row X-1. We booked ages ago, was it so difficult to keep us all in the same row? How do we get this fixed?

This happened to me and my mum and I was about 12. We got upgraded to first classGrin. You might get lucky Or another couple might get upgraded and you get their seats.

A late update (apologies for the delay, had no Internet until today). BA were very good and sorted this at check-in. The lady in charge of assistance just took one look at the seats and said "this cannot possibly be right", made some telephone calls and sat us all together, albeit towards the end of the plane. Smile well done BA!

good I thought this may be the case. they are so accommodating and good to fly with.

This happened to us last year but luckily the other passengers were very accomodating.

It also happened this year with my parents flying with my DN, 4. He was really upset as they were all rows apart. My dad asked passengers who refused, the flight attendants who also refused so then he asked to get off the plane, that they could not fly for 4 hours with DN in such a state. It was extreme but the flight attendants then asked someone to move seats and eventually someone did, my dad knew they wouldnt want the hassle of getting luggage off etc.

It is insane, I don't know why the seats aren't predetermined at time of booking?

And for those who mentioned it, you can now pick seats for the entire party when travelling with an infant, but this was not the case for this flight ( possibly because it was booked a very long time ago). Have picked our seats for all our forthcoming flights.
