I really thought it would bore me to tears, but I've been obsessed by it all and I'm really sad it's all over. Just been watching all the recap stuff and I've got a massive lump in my throat. It's been bloody brilliant!

Jeezy it's traditionally the last event, but some Games - including London - have altered the start time either for broadcasting or athletes' welfare reasons (eg to avoid running at the hottest part of the day) but the medal ceremony is usually still included.
