to think that tart au citroen does not go with custard!?

As bloody wonderful as my DH was to buy our supper on the way home, including dessert, they just don't go together. He can't understand why I might want me tart on it's own! I mean am IBU?

Would this be a good place to start the debate about the correct accompaniment to crumble? We end up having to have custard, cream and ice-cream in every time we have crumble as we 'don't agree'. DH does not 'get' ice-cream (weirdo!). I might also throw creme fraiche into the mix, I particularly love it with most puddings.... opinions please
