The summer holidays are dragging by painfully a little.

I live alone and have no DCs and I am getting desperate! I cannot physically spend another day bumbling about my house! Sad

How do most people fill the days?!

Thanks onemorebite - you sound a lot like me! Love the idea of dance classes, I was considering adult ballet! Hey, it was easy when I was eight! Wink

I second the thoughts of DameEnid too...
Babysitting for, or simply helping out friends with kids can be very rewarding. And most parents seem greatful for a rest!

Adult ballet would be great - but I don't think they do tutus in my size Grin

Trying for a baby?

I found myself in a similar situation after returning to parents' from uni; most friends had left, and uni friends all over the country. I had a playscheme job and gradually made friends though that. I also went to the gym a lot and got friendly with some of the regulars. It's a huge effort to meet new people when you're not a kid anymore (if that makes sense?!) have you been on any Internet dating sites?! Not sure if you're after a partner as such but you could maybe make friends this way. I had a fair few dates from these sites!

I feel for you, I really do. Don't get depressed!

Sperm donation Wink and be nosey all you like

I have had no luck at all with the Internet - I don't know why! It seems to have worked just fine for other people, but the only people I seem to get messages from seem to live miles and miles away (I don't mean 15 miles or whatever - I mean on the south coast - I'm Midlands based!)

I had one date eventually but nothing came of it!

I know what you mean though, I miss the days of "So what A levels did you do?" - it was so easy then!

I really envy my 5 year old. She makes a new friend every time we go to the park. Two seconds and game of spinning round and that is it. Playmate for the rest of the day.

Oh, to be 5 ... Grin
