tiffin box to take on picnics?

Are they just fidgety plastic tat? Or will they add inestimable pleasure to our picnics? I just don't know. Also, I can't tell what size this is, it might be huge and impossible to carry or it might be dollshouse size and hold one packet of raisins and a cupcake. Oh, the stress.

They're tin, or proper ones are. They're the posh version of the old fashioned working man's pail - when a small child or his wife would run to the factory gates at dinner time with a pail of stew or taties or something for dad/husband's dinner, so they got a hot meal.

Not a pail like a bucket, they were more like an 8 inch high milk churn thing with a lid.

That's an awful online shopping page - no information at all!

It sound be 4 inches high or 2 feet!

I've got one. When I bought it I imagined how it would be. It's in the cupboard under the sink. I still like the idea of it though.

I bought one recently from sainsburys for a fiver and used for a picnic. It held a reasonable amount of food and one of the sections was divided into 3. I usually end up with an assortment of plastic tubs which is fine but I liked the way this stacked neatly.
