To ask the next person who says horse riders just sit there

To come and 'just sit there' on my horse?
Seriously, It's annoying me now, Not only on here, My other half says it, And countless people on FB have said it.

So, I am making an offer, I am entirely serious, to anyone who believes this shit, feel free to come and 'just sit there' on my horse. Since Olympic riders apparently do naff all to get where they are, I expect to be hacking out at the very least by next week, On a well mannered, calm horse.

I will provide all equipment and facilities.

AIBU to expect these people to put their money where their mouth is and prove how easy it apparently is to ride a horse?

I've said the same to various people and invited them up to have a try out on my horse. None of them have ever taken me up on it, they are too scared/know they couldn't do it. Pity, as my horse is a real rider-scarer and would certainly prove the point...

I was only joking about it being a stealth boast Grin. I should have Grind.

I'm not sure, I hardly ever watch TV. I'm desperate to go to HOYs at some point though.

One of my absolute dream come true type things would be to have a nice pony to train, and have my daughter go to HOYs with it one day.

Should probably concentrate on breaking the one i have though haha.

YANBU, but don't get annoyed!
Its their ignorance speaking!

EugenesAxe · 07/08/2012 22:20

YANBU and I haven't ridden for yeeeaaarrs. It seems to me to be the in vogue way of slagging the 'other half'.

I would suggest that the fact it looks like 'they just sit there' means they are incredible horse handlers.

Just saw Torch and thought 'Since when has MN needed a carrot symbol?'
