in the faces of two Jehovah's Witnesses?

They knocked. I opened the door with the lock chain on. One woman came so close to the opening that I became wary. She said they were JHs. I tried to be civil and told them that I already have my own faith. I still suffer from the death of my DH so when she started talking about being needed in times of distress, I just lost it and said, "You're too late" ...... and closed the door.

If it's anyone else at the door, I just keep repeating that I don't deal with cold callers - but I forgot this time.

YANBU. I have one response to any type of cold caller - cheerful "No thank you" accompanied by inane grin - and then shut the door straight away.

I just smile and say "no thank you". But usually, they've spotted the pentacle and are already backing hastily down the path lest I steal their souls.

I usually find answering the door with 2 large dogs beside me growling and a baby in my arms usually means no-one wants to hang around

Loves I always open my front door to unexpected callers with the dog, loosely restrained, at my side.

Ooops, dunce's cap on. And I've been reporting other spammy zombie threads but completely zoned out on this.

YANBU. I had 2 JV last week. I was very polite and said I was a regular attender at the local CofE church. They smiled and one said "I am glad you have your own faith" and left. Nice and non-confrontational - just how it should be.
