She is adamant she is stony broke and asked dh (accountant) to go through her "books".

She has tens of thousands in the bank and has £245 a week disposable after all her bills! She was in tears again saying we were lying to her and she has no money! Argh! It's exhausting trying to get her to see she is ok. She is 89 btw but fully there. She has however been a drama queen all her life and it's exhausting! He says she has no family! Well except for her daughter, 2 granddaughters and 2 great grandsons she doesn't. Never a week goes by without her being visited and taken places by one of her family she doesn't have.

Argh!

As for spending money on her family. Hahahahahahahahha breathes hahahahhaahhagahahaha!

She begrudges spending a tenner on birthday/Xmas presents and as I said
Previously we are her only family. She once made a huge deal
Over spending £11 on me. I'm not in it for the money, honestly, but i hate the way she begrudges money spent on us, her only family, as if she were doing us a massive favour! She also tends to give away any presents she doesn't like/decides to randomly dislike despite having used for years/not posh enough (Hmm).

We, my mum and sister and I, now buy presents we all like because we know they're often coming back again. Smile I once spent a fortune on some red door smelly stuff for her, she's used it for ever, she gave it away!
